Channeling years of experience in art, design, and photography I draw my inspiration from the places I see and those I photograph. I would describe my work as be painterly, nostalgic, and emotive.

Davey Whitener: avy Whitener is a fine art film photographer specializing in destination weddings. His method combines an editorial and classic approach with a candid and artistic eye. A perfect combination for capturing each unique wedding day. His relational personality embellishes his technical skills enabling families and guests to relax and enjoy their experience. This “marriage” of talents turns sacred moments into beautiful and timeless photographs.

Davy has true passion for his craft. He started working with a manual film camera in 1996. Initially, he taught himself by documenting his settings with pen and pad. He photographed his first wedding in 2002. After college and an apprenticeship, he has worked full time since 2005.

Davy resides in Atlanta with his wife Lydia and their children Prudence, James, Milly, and Gideon. He is an adventurer and lover of the great outdoors. When he doesn’t have a camera in his hand, you can find him fly fishing, hunting seasonal game, or spending time with his family.

Koby Brown: Beginning as Archetype Studio, the name Koby Brown Photography was recently adopted in an effort to tie ourselves more closely to our photos. The nature of our work is so personal, that it just made sense (after all of the these years) to set aside our corporate name and just be us. And yes, it’s still us! – Koby and Elizabeth

New landscapes, different climates, unique venues… I consume these adventures as though they were the air I breathe. At 10 years old, my parents gave me a Canon 35mm to take with on a trip to England. I spent that trip burning through film and loving it. My lens was mostly trained on the historic architecture and monuments. To this day, I am inspired by history, architecture, new places, and the adventure of traveling.

My life as a photographer is full of peaks and valleys. I am not looking for perfect balance, because with balance comes complacency. The peaks help me survive the valleys, and the valleys drive me to create with more passion.

My wife and daughters are all a part of this crazy adventure, and the older my daughters grow, the more driven I am to succeed in hopes of inspiring them to find their own passion in life and follow their dreams.

Kiel Rucker: My approach to wedding photography is likely best described as fine art photojournalism. What this means is that the images I capture and the art that I create is intimately connected to the relationship created between myself and the people I photograph. It’s impossible for me to spend good time with good people and not have space for them in my heart. I believe this plays a massive role in my ability to capture beautiful, authentic moments and to turn them into art for you – In short, if we end up working together we are going to become friends.
